And then there is the ongoing horror of nearly half of us dying by our own hand as a result of abandonment by family and ill-treatment born of ignorance and hate.

I lived in fear of being rejected by my family, but that didn't happen. However, it seems that half the people I meet are spurned and that has a huge effect on their prospects for a contented life and successful transition.

Many refuse or do not have the skills to survive before transition as transtion does not change that it only adds more problems. You have to be successful before transtion to be successful after it.

Tomorrow the candle will have burned out waiting for the next year to be relit.
Tomorrow, in the dark, the graves will be there in the darkness.
Tomorrow, in the darkness the flowers will be there unseen.
Tomorrow the tears will rest on the cold hard cradle to be forgotten for a year.
Tomorrow, in the dark, we who care will be there, holding our breath, hoping beyond hope!
Hoping that no more, will be added to "The List Of The Dead"

November 20th, A Single Day Set Aside ~

In remembrance of all our brothers and sisters that have lost their lives to violence for being, who they are.....

In expanding the idea ~

In remembrance of all our brothers and sisters that have lost their lives to self inflicted violence, brought on by depression and rejection for being, who they are..... ~ written by an artist and was part of a painting given to Gender Identity Center of Colorado!

I for one, will never forget, and will continue to help bring us out of the Dark Ages by taking the fear of the unknown and making it known!
